Are macarons gluten-free?

Accepted Answer

Macarons are naturally a gluten-free item however certain flavors may not be. Macarons are made with almonds, sugar, egg whites, butter or chocolate but due to flavor sometimes they might have an ingredient like Oreos, graham crackers, or Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Before ordering be sure to check the ingredients that are listed on each item in the shop. If you have any questions please feel free to email me or fill out the contact page.

Are macarons allergy-friendly?

Unfortunately no, macarons are not the most allergy-friendly items. Traditionally macarons are made with almonds, egg whites, butter, and sugar. Depending on the flavor the shell could have freeze dried fruit or nuts in them. The fillings could be flavored with dairy, fruit, herbs, spices, tea, wheat, soy, tree nuts, or peanuts. Please let us know if you have a food sensitivity we should be aware of. Ingredients are listed on each item in the shop as well as allergens.

How should I store my macarons?

Macarons are best kept in an airtight container in the fridge for 7-10 days or in the freezer for 2-3 months.

How long should I let my macarons sit after coming out of the fridge or freezer?

Accepted Answer

Some people like to eat their macarons straight out of the fridge but usually they are best consumed after sitting out at room temperature for at least 20 minutes to allow the filling to soften a bit.

How are your macarons packaged?

Accepted Answer

We use a clam shell like container with six or 12 individuals spots for macarons. Our containers are 99% plant-based with no BPAs, phthalates, or other chemicals that disrupt our health, the planet, and the eco-system. They have airtight interlocking seals to maintain freshness of treats and are certified compostable!
